AKHSS, Hunza re-opened in February after one month’s winter holidays.

AKHSS, Hunza re-opened in February after one month’s winter holidays. The ensuing months were laid out with a myriad of activities; and hence, the whole session was demanding and busy for both the teachers and the students.

On the academic front, the school remained busy with the following activities:

In the months of March, April and May, all the board classes took the Aga Khan University-Examination Board (AKU-EB) and Karakoram International University-Examination Board (KIU-EB) final examinations.

The new session of Grade VIII for 2009-2010 started on 4th May.

The new session of Grade X and XII commenced on 8th June.

Admission Test for Grade XI was conducted on 21st June at three centers; AKHSS, Hunza, Gilgit and Gahkuch.

Parent/Teacher meeting was held on 27th June to discuss the overall performance of the students with their parents.

Summer Holidays started on 27th June; and the school will re-open on 3rd August.

The AKU-EB annual Examination results of Grade IX (SSC-I) and X (SSC-II) were announced on 7th July. The school’s result in both these grades remained 100%. In SSC-I, 9 students got A+, 23 students got A, and 11 students got B grades; while in SSC II, 27 students achieved A+ and 18 students achieved A grades.
