The pre-primary and primary section of Diamond Jubilee High School celebrated its Annual Day at Indira Priyadarshini hall in Public Gardens at Nampally on 31st January 2009.
Mr. Bala Kasaiah, the deputy education officer of Nampally Mandal was the chief guest of the function which was attended by parents and well wishers. Mr.Bala Kasaiah in his inspirational speech emphasized on the need for strong educational trends established by schools like DJHS. Guest of Honour, Ms. Satya Yamini of Zee Telugu Little Champs fame enthralled the audiences with a magnificent singing performance.
The event started with a welcome song and an enchanting dance performed by little kiddies of pre-primary. The tiny tots of pre-school danced to the tunes of various English songs and entertained the audiences. The upper K.G. students enacted a skit and the students of classes I and II danced to beats of folk songs of coastal Maharashtra. Bihu, a popular folk dance of Assam was perfectly performed by the students of classes III and IV. Enlivening the Republic Day fever a skit and an action song was staged by the young boys and girls to further ignite the patriotic spirit among the people present. The students were felicitated for their outstanding performance at the annual examination. The annual day function was packed with a host of fun filled performances providing students a platform to exhibit their talents. The wittily compered evening thus came to a close by a vote of thanks.
