Mathematics Contest Held at Nairobi University

On 8th May 2010, a total of 20 students represented Aga Khan High School, Nairobi during a mathematics contest held at the Chiromo Campus, University of Nairobi. The contest was organized by the Mathematics Association of Nairobi University, which is made up of undergraduate students pursuing various Mathematics related courses at the University.

Among the students, Andrew Sewe Omondi of Aga Khan High School achieved position two overall. During the afternoon session, students were briefed about the courses offered at the School of Mathematics.

Dr. Were who is the Director of the School of Mathematics, University of Nairobi, and also an alumnus of Aga Khan High School expressed his interest in being involved in the school as a way of giving back.
