Alumni shine at Model UN conference

02 May 2011

Daniel Orwa and Swaleh Ouma makes us proud with the Model UN Achievements

Swaleh and Daniel graduated from the Academy and are now studying at the University of Reading. They were both disappointed when they got there that there was no MUN club at the college. So they started one. They did so well at the UK National competition that they were invited to the global final in New York on the 21st of April at the UN Headquarters in New York.

This is the largest MUN Conference in the world with around 5,000 delegates from over 300 universities. The University were so pleased they gave them a grant to cover their flights. This photo shows them receiving an Honourable mention for their work representing the rights and tribulations of El Salvador.
