Students from both the Junior school and the Senior school of the Aga Khan Academy Nairobi performed short skits on tree planting and environmental conservation.

Junior School students perform at the Tree-planting launchDignitaries at the ceremony held at Nairobi City Park included Hon. Noah Wekesa, Minister for Forestry and Wildlife, Lions Clubs International President Wing-Kun Tam and Prince Hussain Aga Khan.

Junior School student Maya Spibey recited a poem in memory of Wangari MathaiThe Senior school students presented a skit on the effect of human actions on the environment, while the Junior school students presented a skit on the dangers of cutting down trees as well as a tribute to Wangari Mathai.

Students from the Aga Khan High School Nairobi also attended and participated in tree planting in Nairobi City Park.
