Wednesday 7 December 2012 witnessed a very successful annual school Middle Years Programme (MYP) Science Fair.

The focus was on Scientific Investigation methods which ranged from formulating focused research questions, to hypothesizing selecting of materials, methods of data collection & processing and evaluation of the entire process.

Participants were drawn from Grades 7 to Grade 9 and a myriad of exhibits were on display. The displays evidently duplicated tenets of the IB Learner profile as exemplified by their ability to be knowledgeable communicators and caring risk takers. They also articulated ATL skills, thinking skills, collaboration, organization, communication and reflection.

The Science Faculty and a team of IB students were on standby to judge and for the sake of fairness, each grade was judged separately.

The following winning entries were generously awarded at the School assembly with gift vouchers from Savanis Bookshop:

GRADE 7: VITAMIN C CONTENT IN FRUIT JUICES
GRADE 8: METHODS OF BOILING WATER
GRADE 9: ECO-BATTERY
