The MSMUN Conference took place between 21st and 24th January 2014 and involved twenty-one delegates (students) from Grade 7,8 and 9 and three advisors (teachers): Mr. Wesonga, Mr. Musili and Ms. Lupao.

The first day kicked off with lobbying and on the other days, students focused on debating the various resolutions which was done in their respective committees of Health, Technology, Ecology and Human Rights.

The trip was an eye opener to students as they had an opportunity to present their resolutions, vote for or against different resolutions and defend them to make sure they were passed by other delegates. Exposure to delegates from within and without Kenya not only made students build their confidence but also sharpened their eloquence, trained them in discipline and turn-taking when engaging in discussions and debate.

Motivational speeches from different speakers boosted the students’ self-esteem and cultivated a culture of team spirit and willingness to advocate the rights of the less fortunate. One of the resolutions from our school was voted “Best Resolution”.
