Kisumu Junior Open Tennis Tournament

Kulthum JumaThe Kisumu Junior Open Tennis Tournament was held on the weekend of March 26th 2011 at the Nyanza Club, and was sponsored by the Ministry of Sports and the Nyanza Lawn Tennis Association. A total number of 6 schools participated in this tournament, there were, Chianda High School, Aga Khan Primary School, Kisumu, Kisumu Day High School, Braeburn Kisumu International School (BKIS), Kisumu Senior Academy (KSA) and Jalaram Academy (JA).
The girls of Aga Khan Primary School, Kisumu played well in the tournament with the following resutls : in the Under 14 girl’s category, Ruth Amua of Aga Khan Primary School, Kisumu came second with 7 points as Mary Goretty came third with 5 points.
Linet OdungaIn the Under 12 girl’s category, Linet Odunga of Aga Khan Primary School, Kisumu won with 12 points while Simar Virdee was second with 10 points, followed by Kulthum Juma who was placed third with 11 points.
