The Aga Khan School, Booni is over three decades old, having been established in 1984. It was upgraded to a Model School from 2009-2012, and has been a high school since 2009.
The school serves over 450 students, 50% of which are female. English is the medium of instruction and the school teaches pre-primary through high. There are 22 teachers present, and the student to teacher ratio is 1:26.
The school teaches an enhanced version of the national curriculum, and is affiliated with the Peshawar board of examination (BISEP). The school offers a well-equipped computer laboratory as one its facilities.
The school also offers professional development to all its staff, taking place once a month for 6 hours each, totaling 72 hours per year.
New admissions take place in March and April every year.

Intermediate level classes at the Aga Khan School Meragram will start in the new academic year in 2018. The school will now provide continuous education from pre-primary to higher secondary.
