The Aga Khan School, Chapali is over three decades old. The school started in 1985 as a primary school with just 64 students, situated in a Jamatkhana with a single teacher. It has since been upgraded to a middle school in 1992, and then to a high school in 1996.
The school now serves over 330 students, 46% of which are female. English is the medium of instruction and the school teaches pre-primary through high.
The school is affiliated with BIESP (Peshawar board of examination). However, starting 2016, the Middle School Programme affiliated with the Aga Khan University Examination Board has been initiated. The school boasts facilities such as a sports ground, a science laboratory, and an Early Childhood block.
The school offers professional development to all its staff, taking place once a month for 6 hours each, totaling 72 hours per year.
New admissions take place in March and April every year.

Intermediate level classes at the Aga Khan School Meragram will start in the new academic year in 2018. The school will now provide continuous education from pre-primary to higher secondary.
