Achievements

High Achiever in Secondary School Certificate (SSC) Examination
Sakina Ashfaq has got the highest marks in Islamiat all over Pakistan in SSC Part I examination by AKU-EB in 2008.

Intel award
Students of class VI (boys) participated in Intel project led by Miss Ghazala Ejaz.

This project had been launched for three months with the collaboration of Intel. The title  of the project was “Energy” (Science). During a rigorous process of assessment students presented their learning experiences. That project teacher Miss Ghazala Eijaz was declared as the "Teacher of the year 2008" by Intel.

Participation in Youth Exchange program
Alina Muhammad Farooq and Summan Muhammad Sohail are two shine stars of Aga Khan School, Garden, short listed for the final selection to participate and attend the one year youth Exchange Program sponsored by I EARN,Pakistan. Best wishes to them for final selection.

Art Competition
European  Commission organized an Art Competition on the theme of “Gender Equality” .The art work of ten students from all Aga Khan Schools Pakistan were selected and were awarded in Islam Abad. Mubbashir Sultan (V) and Saif Ur Rehman Qurban (VI) from Aga Khan School, Garden horned to received this awards and cash priae. Saif Ur Rehman Qurban (VI) art work was selected for the Sámi-final.

Children’s Day Celebration
On 1st November 2008 Institute for Education Development ( AKU) celebrated  “Children’s  Day” Children from ECED Section participated in the program and performed tableau and got appreciated by receiving colorful gifts.

There was an in house program organized on the international Children’s Day at Aga Khan School, Garden. Students presented skits, tubule and speeches on the theme of Human rights and responsibilities. All the students and staff members took the pledge to recognize their rights and avail all the opportunities to exercise them and perform their responsibilities.

Elevating the School image in Jamat
Students of Aga Khan School, Garden contributed to elevate the image of the school in Jammat They shared the information about the school through speech in all the Jamat Khanas of Garden Jurisdiction.  They presented school activities in Jamat followed by the video presentation.
Khan hall. They also delivered speech in Jamat Khana on the occasion of Earth Day. They were highly appreciated by the Jamati leaders and community for their confidence and communication skills.

Friendly Cricket Match
Senior Section organized a friendly Cricket Match with The City School. Players of both teams played well and the match remained draw at the end.

Practical Session for Science Teachers
A visit of science teachers from remote schools was organized in Aga Khan School, Garden Science laboratory. Two teachers from Mirpur sakro, three from Sultanabad, two from Hyderabad participated. Altogether they were 25 people including teacher, lab attendant and lab assistant. Mr.Noorullah (remote school manager) Mr.Salman Khimanai (D C E O) were accompanied them. Teachers were observed learn and perform the practical subject wise (Physics, Chemistry and Biology). Science team of Aga Khan School Garden  including Ms Akhtar unissa Mr. Suleman and Mr. Akber. Ms.Najia. Mr. G.Paul and Ms Rehana conducted the session and demonstrated practicals. Participants were found very satisfied. They demanded a series of this kind of sessions by the AKGS Science team.

In service certificate for English language course
After passing the entry test Miss Mehjabeen from Junior Section qualify for the curse from SPELT.

Master in Education
Munazza Gull successfully completed her M.Ed from Institute for Education Development ( AKU) and joined back Aga Khan School, Garden as Academic Coordinator for learning Area English.

Attending a training workshop in Graphics
Ms Shazia Usman and one of the student from Junior Section Muhammad Daniyal Arif attended four day work shop organized by I*EARN, Pakistan. In this workshop they explored 3D animation. A follow-up program is planed and will be executed in 2nd term.

Enhancing qualification

  • One of the teacher from senior section Zahra Jamal Uddin  completed her B .Ed from Hamdard University Karachi.
  • Mr Arshad Rizvi , Librarian of Aga Khan School, Garden sucessfuly completed his Master in International Relations from Karachi University.
  • Sumaira Muhammad Zahid, one of the teacher from Junior section successfully completed his Master in International Relations from Karachi University.
