Fees - Policies and Procedures
1.
Payment of fees will be required to be completed on or before the first day of class for each term. The first day of class for Term 1 is Monday, August 23, 2010.
2.
Up on payment of fees, you will be issued with an Admissions Pass from the Office of the Bursar. This Pass should be submitted, by the student/parent, to the Classroom Teacher in order for your child to attend school. Without such an Admissions Pass, your child will not be permitted to attend his/her class.
3.
A discount of 3% will be given should you decide to pay the fees for the full school year (all 3 terms) on or before the first day of class (Monday, August 23 ,2010). Likewise, a penalty / late fee of 3% would be charged, if the fees are not paid / payment arrangements are not finalized within a period of 2 weeks of the start of each term. The above late fee / penalty would also apply for cases where there is a delay from the agreed date for payments via instalments.
4.
It is no longer possible to make cash payments at the school. Any cash payments of fees must be done directly at the Diamond Trust Bank in Mombasa (located on Moi Avenue) that will issue proof of payment to be given to the Bursar’s office in order for an Admissions Pass (and school receipt) to be issued. Our bank account details are as under:
- Title of Account: The Aga Khan Academy, Mombasa – Operations
- Account number / Currency : 0104309003 / Kenyan shillings

For all cheque payments, only a banker’s cheque will enable the issuance of an immediate Admissions Pass. If you pay by a regular cheque, the Admissions Pass will only be issued after clearance of the cheque by the bank.
6.
For monthly payments by a bank standing order, the school will charge a one-time administration fee of Ksh 2,000/-. Written approval from the Head of the Academy will be required to implement this method of payment. A form is available at the Bursar’s office for requesting this facility.
7.
A sibling discount of 5% will be applicable to the lowest of the fees paid.
8.
All school field trips, unless otherwise specified or approved, are payable for by students for actual costs.
9.
If necessary, a request for payment by instalments may be done; this would be reviewed on a case-to-case basis; a form is available at the Bursar’s office for requesting this facility.
