Drama on Brief History of Bangladesh
The students from our primary section performed a drama where they exhibited their knowledge about the glorious history of our motherland. They demonstrated it through their acting, dance and songs and proved themselves as promising and talented performers.


Information Communication and Technology Festival - 2005
Notre Dame College organised this event and 34 colleges participated. The following students represented our school with distinction:
Mukto Akash - IQ test (1st position)
Taufiq A. Rahman - Computer Project Display (Second runner-up)
Nowshad Hossin - Computer Project Display (Second runner-up).


Horlicks Genius Bangladesh
A total of 100 schools participated at the Horlicks Genius Bangladesh Quiz competition. Three students from our senior section, Mirza Ayman Ahmed, Ifreet Rahima and Nayeem Islam participated. In 2004 we were the champions and in 2005 we reached the semifinal.


Implementation of Information Technology in classroom activity
Our primary section students made beautiful presentations on Science and General Knowledge using MS PowerPoint. They are also doing research work by collecting information from the internet. This enables the students to experience different horizons of learning.


Debate and Public Speaking
During the academic year the students of the senior section participated in many prestigious competitions and came home with great honors. Viqqurunnesa Noon School and College organised the fourth English medium debate competition and our students managed to reach the semifinal round.

We participated in the Sixth National English Parliamentary Debate competition organised by Bangladesh National Television in August 2004 and April 2005.

Students of the senior section Zoheb Ahmed from Grade 12, Shahrukh Yasmin Mirza and Mehrose Hossain from Grade 11 participated. The debate was a learning experience for our students and gave them opportunities to explore issues and aspects of contemporary life related to the Information Superhighway.


4th Science Festival
Notre Dame College organised the 4th Science Festival in February, in which 44 colleges participated. The successful students were:
Awabin Rahman - Physics Olympiad (1st Pos.)
Taufiq A. Rahman - Computer Project Display (2nd runner-up)
Sumon Sarker - Computer Project Display (2nd runner-up)
Multo Akash - Intelligence Quotient (2nd runner-up)

A Festival of this kind enables students to interact with students from various schools.


Science Fair and Open House: 2004-2005
The senior section organised a Science Fair and Open House on 25th March, 2005. In this event students displayed their work which was completed during the academic year. The Bangla department had a Heritage Corner which demonstrated our cultural richness of the past and the present in various aspects of life.

Students of English Department staged two dramas. They also organised a public speaking competition and poetry recitation. The students also exhibited artistic work which included pencil sketches, oil painting and pottery.

The Social Science Department displayed projects from Geography, History and Islamiat. There were various models depicting Islamic culture. The students worked hard to make a very interesting and informative multimedia presentation on the Tsunami. The students created excellent visual presentations on the Industrial Revolution through colorful charts and appropriate models.


School Open House (by Shemoul Hamid)
The Aga Khan School Open House is an integral part of the academic year. It showcases students’ work related to themes taught in the classroom.

Keeping to tradition, this year's it was held in November with some educative themes including scientific theories and discoveries, the solar system, plant life, wonders of nature and space, splendors of the past, literature and language, cultures and customs, SAARC (South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation), computers. It was an event which was highly appreciated by the school community especially the parents.


The Annual Awards Ceremony
The Awards programme designed to recognise and acknowledge the merit, achievements and service to the school community by students and staff. Much of the success of the School comes from the dedicated efforts of teachers. organisationThe Awards ceremony recognises their contributions.

Student successes reflect the efforts, achievements and support of families and School staff. The awards ceremony is an occasion for students, parents and teachers to come together and celebrate common successes.

The Ceremony acknowledges both achievement and service to the school community by students and staff. Every year the following awards are presented:
