We have committed ourselves to a more progressive curriculum - one that will equip our students far better for the challenges that lie beyond.
Our curriculum
is more contemporary, relevant and prepares children for a broader yet more inclusive and pluralistic education. Whilst making every effort to design a curriculum that is global we shall also retain the local flavour."

About Us: School History

In 1947, following India's Independence from the British, Sir Sultan Mohamed Shah, Aga Khan III, established the Diamond Jubilee High School for Boys. Over the years, the School has established itself as an institution offering quality education to children of varied backgrounds and cultures.

The Diamond Jubilee High School, MumbaiThe Diamond Jubilee High School, Mumbai invests heavily in teacher training and development, educational resources, classroom equipment and infrastructure. The School is recognized by the Maharashtra State Education Department. In 2007 the school was shifted to its new premises and follows the Indian Council for Secondary Education (ICSE) curriculum up to grade 7. It will reach a higher class every year so that by 2012 the entire school will follow the national curriculum - ICSE. It currently has 1,434 students from Pre-primary to Grade 10. To ensure quality teaching-learning processes in the classroom and to enhance performance, the School appoints additional teachers per division at all levels. It also invests heavily in teacher training and development, educational resources, classroom equipment and infrastructure.

The School is part of the Aga Khan Education Services (AKES). It has a long tradition of leadership in educational development. The foundations of the present system were laid by Sir Sultan Mohamed Shah, Aga Khan III, under whose guidance over 200 schools were established during the first half of the 20th century, the first of them in 1905 in Zanzibar, Gwadur in Pakistan and Mundra in India. Since the creation of Aga Khan Education Service companies in the 1970s, the schools have been centrally administered and managed.

AKES currently operates more than 300 schools and advanced educational programmes that provide quality pre-school, primary, secondary and higher secondary education services to more than 54,000 students in Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, Kenya, Kyrgyz Republic, Uganda, Tanzania and Tajikistan. Schools are also envisaged, or under development, in Afghanistan, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Madagascar, Mali, Mozambique and Syria.
