Q: Does my child need to be Muslim to attend your
school?
A: No. In fact the School is non-denominational
and accepts children from all faiths.
Q: Why should I send my child to the Diamond
Jubilee High School for Boys?
A: The Aga Khan Schools provide an all round,
holistic education that prepares students for
life. It focuses on child-centred, innovative
and fun approaches to learning. For more information,

Q: Should I be concerned that my child
will be influenced by another religion?
A: Not at all. Our school thrives in a secular
environment and all religions are respected in
our School. We celebrate major religious holidays
such as Christmas, Eid, Diwali, Raksha Bandhan,
Holi.
Q: What if my child falls ill during school
hours?
A: A staff member who is a trained first aid instructor
handles all emergencies. If your child is suffering
from a serious medical condition, there are various
medical facilities within the vicinity including
our sister institution the Prince Aly Khan Hospital.
In such cases, the School policy requires staff
to inform the child's parent or guardian immediately.
Q: Will my child be provided with textbooks?
A: Yes, the School's Book Bank facility provides
students with textbooks for the academic year.
The books have to be returned to the School Library
for the benefit of the other students. This service
was developed to assist a limited number of students
who do not have the financial means to purchase
personal textbooks.
Q: Do you provide transport facitilies?
A: The school bus is operational but is only available
up to Class 6. To subscribe to this service, parents
should contact the bus contractor from Irwin Travels,
who is on the School premises.
Q: Do you provide canteen services?
A few snacks are sold during the short break.
Lunch is arranged for students from the Currimbhoy
orphanage. Students can make their own lunch arrangements.
Q: After successfully completing their
studies, what do your students do?
A: Our graduates tend to pursue professional and
vocational courses in various fields, both in

ADMISSIONS
Q: How do I enrol my child?
A: Admission packages are available from the administrative
office from mid to end January. The admission
process includes a bi-lingual induction programme
for parents and an admission test for Class 1
- 9 candidates. At pre-primary level, children
are observed in a friendly, non-threatening environment,

adapt to your School or if he moves to an international

A: No. Your child should be able to adjust without
difficulty as the School follows the Maharashtra
State Syllabus. All schools managed by the Aga
Khan Education Service, India teach according
to the Shishu Pahel Paddhati (c) methodology,
emphasizing child-initiated learning, encouraging
the child to plan and develop self-paced learning.
