Chess Competition
Posted on 23 July 2009Dhumal Soham of Class 3 won second prize in the Chess Competition held by South Mumbai Chess Association (SMCA). The competition was held for students aged 8 and 9 years.
16 students from various schools participated in the competition which was held in Regina Pacis High School. Soham defeated a very talented competitor and was awarded a trophy for his victory. Since age four he has been interested in chess and has been taking coaching from the chess classes held at the school. His sharp mind and desire of the game has enabled him to win many chess competitions even at the school level.
