Outdoor Adventure
As part of the Physical Education Curriculum,
the Department promotes outdoor programmes
at each grade level: Grade 7 to Hell’s
Gate, Grade 8 and 10 to Sagana, Grade 9 to
Maasai Mara, and I.B. to Tsavo. These programmes
are designed to be physically and mentally
challenging, fun, safe and educational. The

to students from Grade 9. Expeditions are organized
with accordance to the Award Scheme, giving students
the opportunity to achieve Bronze, Silver and Gold
medals.
Community Service
All Grade 8 and 9 students are encouraged to perform
Community Service. On two Saturdays each term, students
visit various children homes and offer cleaning, cooking,
teaching and painting services. They offer assistance
by raising funds and resources and interacting with
children at these institutions. They offer donations
in the form of food and clothing.
As part of their CAS (Creativity, Action
and Service) requirements, our International
Baccalaureate class is also active in Community
Service. Recent projects include helping build
an extension to the Olasiti School in Narok and
assisting the Kibera Girls Home by donating sewing
machines and other physical resources. The IB
class also offers service to various children homes
including the Hope House Babies Home, Kabete Children’s
Home and Fairmile special school.
