Art and Design
Art is built into the curriculum as an essential
area of learning. Students are encouraged to
design and make images and artifacts using a
variety of media. Art involves two and three
dimensional work. Art education also explores
Art through I.T. Artists and designers from
different cultures and traditions are studied.
Design and Technology activities cover a range
of materials including food, textiles, wood,
plastic, clay and "junk". Students
are involved in identifying a problem or need,
planning an initial design, modifying and improving
the design and then making the final product.
An Art and Design exhibition is
held at the school for all students. Parents
are invited to view the creative pieces completed
by the students, using a variety of mediums.
