• Be a male student;
• Have passed grade 7 or 8 annual examination or should be appearing in grade 7 or 8 annual examination during year applying for admission;
• Have a maximum age limit of 14 years on the closing date of submitting admission form;
• Be willing to pursue studies in science group at secondary level (SSC) and science or commerce group at the intermediate level (HSSC);
• Not have appeared in Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examination with any board before applying for admission.

Application procedure

• The information required in the application form, if written by hand, must be legible and in block letters;
• It must be ensured that the checklist is completed and the required information is given;
• An incomplete application will not be processed;
• Application form can be collected at the following points:
  - Aga Khan Higher Secondary School, Gilgit
  - Education Office Chitral
  - All Field Education Offices in the Northern areas
• Admit cards for the placement test will be issued on receipt of duly completed application for admission;
• Following documents should be attached with the application form:
  - 7or 8 pass certificate or 7/8 passing assurance certificate whichever is applicable;
  - Attested Form B and/or attested Birth certificate;
  - School leaving certificate counter signed by deputy director (to be submitted after the confirmation of admission).

Eligibility of candidates
In order to be eligible for admission, the candidate should:

• Be a male;
• have passed/be passing SSC examination before or by July 2007 with at least 55% marks for admission in science and at least 50% for admission in commerce.
• have studied science subjects (Physics, Chemistry, and Biology) and Mathematics in SSC to apply for admission in Pre-medical and pre-engineering.
• not have appeared in HSSC part I exam with any board before applying for admission.
• not be over 18 years of age on the closing date of submission of application form.

Please note that a candidate who does not meet of the above criteria will not be offered admission even though he may have passed the written test and interview.

• Duly completed application form should reach Aga Khan Higher Secondary School, Gilgit on or before closing date of admissions and during school hours. Late applications will not be entertained.
• Admit cards for the placement test will be issued on receipt of duly completed applications.
• Following documents should be attached with completely filled application form:
  - Attested copy of SSC board registration card and/or attested copy of Detailed Marks Certificate of SSC examination
  - Attested copy of Form B/Birth Certificate
  - Placement Test Admit Card
