Placement Test

To gain admission to the School, all potential candidates sit for a placement test and attend an interview. Both are used to gauge the student’s ability in core subjects and public speaking skills, as well as self-confidence.

The Urdu, English and General Knowledge test is general and not from prescribed textbooks. Class VIII students are tested on Class VIII course material and Class XI students on the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) Syllabus. A panel from the Aga Khan Higher Secondary School, Hunza Admission Committee and a School Management Committee representative interviews the candidate. The interview normally lasts for 15 minutes.

Note for Parents
Parents should note that provisional admissions will be confirmed based on the candidate's final Secondary School Certificate or equivalent examination results, admission test and interview.

Upon receipt of official Board / University results, a candidate's provisional admission will be confirmed. It is based on a minimum of 65% aggregate in the Science Group and 60% aggregate marks in General Group examinations.

Upon official release of S.S.C./equivalent examination results from the Board / University, provisional admissions will be confirmed. It is based on a minimum of 55% aggregate in the Science Group.

An attested photocopy of the candidate's S.S.C. or equivalent mark sheet should be submitted to the School Admission Office within 15 days of release by the Board / University. Failure to do so will result in the admission being withdrawn. No reminders will be issued from the Admission Office. In all admission matters including; fees, evaluation of scholastic performance, discipline and student affairs, the School's decision is final.
