Hostel
The Aga Khan Girls Hostel, Hunza is located
next to the School. It was built to provide
accommodation for girls from Northern Pakistan’s
remote areas. Most residents would not normally
have access to secondary and higher secondary
education in their hometowns. The existing schools
currently offer primary and middle level (Classes
5 to 8) requiring students to travel to another
town on foot for higher education or others
to eventually give up their studies.
Equipped with a multi-purpose hall and study room,
the hostel can accommodate 81 students. It offers
quality facilities specifically focused on developing
their overall physical, social, spiritual and
intellectual growth. The Hostel offers regular
religious education, Quran classes, career development
sessions, health seminars and moral and ethical
lectures by prominent local scholars.
The Hostel offers students easy access to the
computer lab, library and classrooms in the main
school building. Lecturers from reputable institutions
regularly speak to boarders on health and hygiene,
careers and scholarships and social and moral
values. Medical assistance and vaccinations is
available to residents, if necessary.
Computer Laboratory
The School’s fully equipped 10-computer
laboratory offers students access to audio-visual
and printing facilities. All students are given
basic computer training and the Academy emphasizes
education through computers by encouraging students
to include web-based research for various class
projects and assignments.
Library
The library carries over 3,000 books and reference
resources. It subscribes to local, international
periodicals (English and Urdu) and other monthly,
