Aga Khan Higher Secondary School, Karachi, (AKHSS, K) is a unit of Aga Khan Education Service, Pakistan (AKES, P) which is an entity of the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN).

AKES, P, is focused on improvement of both teaching and learning. It works with the government and communities to develop models of public/private partnerships, which play a vital role towards implementing the Education Sector Reforms of the Ministry of Education, Government of Pakistan.
In Karachi, AKES, P, operates four premier schools where a special emphasis is on the teaching of English, Mathematics, Science and Commerce. These schools have an enrollment of over 9000 students and are located in Kharadar (estd. 1926), Garden (estd.1929) and Karimabad (SMS estd.1965, and AKHSS, K estd.1995). These schools follow the national curriculum as prescribed by the Aga Khan University - Examination Board (AKU-EB) and Board of Intermediate Education, Karachi (BIE,K).
