Curriculum: A Blend of Local and International
Approaches
The School and the Aga Khan Education Service,
Pakistan redesigned its academic programmes for
the current academic year in line with reputed
national, international colleges and universities.
Learning at the School now strengthens the Board
of Intermediate Education, Karachi's prescribed
curriculum and also extends its boundaries. Education
is no longer treated as a set of individual subjects
such as Chemistry, Mathematics, Zoology or Economics.
Instead, similar subjects are clustered and redefined
as a learning area bringing a holistic approach
to education.
The School Academic Programmes
AKHSS is registered with the Karachi City District
Government and affiliated with the Board of
Intermediate Education, Karachi. It follows
the Board's prescribed curriculum.
Pre-Engineering Group
This Group of Studies is offered to students
who have studied Science in Secondary School
Certificate or its equivalent. Its subject combination
is as follows:
