Learning Programmes
Learning Technology Programmes
The school offers learning technology programmes for promoting quality learning and skill enhancement of the students. It offers different courses for different disciplines of students, keeping in view of their future needs in educational and professional life.
It includes use of multimedia, simulations, videos and use of network and communication systems to support learning both in computer studies and other subjects.
Internship Programme
The Internship Programme is a Unique programme for higher secondary students at AKHSS Karachi which is very rare in Pakistan. These internships help students decide their career paths, give perspectives on selection of academic programmes, and assist them in gaining experience and establishing professional relationships that are valuable in securing employment after graduation. The school has established links with a large network of institutions and organizations that host our interns. Our Student Affairs and Career Advisory Unit assists the students in identifying and securing internships appropriate to their career needs and goals.
Scholarships
A limited number of partial scholarships are available for highly meritorious students with genuine financial need. The scholarship covers a part of the tuition fee.
Computer Based Test (CBT) for School Admission
Since 2007, AKHSS, K, has become the first Intermediate College/Higher Secondary School in Karachi to conduct a Computer Based Test (CBT) for admission.
Preparatory Classes for Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT)
We guide and help students individually and collectively, in getting admission into local, national and foreign institutions of higher learning. For this, the school has a specially designed programme for preparing students for Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT).
Medical College Admission Test (MCAT) Preparatory Classes
The year 2008 saw another milestone being added to the school, the commencement of Medical College Admission Test (MCAT) preparatory classes. Keeping in mind the growing demand for the aptitude tests,
AKHSS, K, is now facilitating students to prepare for the challenging tests of renowned medical institutions of the country. Our aim is to ensure that maximum students get admission into the medical colleges of Pakistan. These classes are held after school during the week and on weekends so those maximum students can benefit from this programme.
Guest Speakers’ Sessions
At AKHSS, K, we do not confine knowledge to the prescribed syllabi but we go beyond this and offer our students a very rich educational programme. Guest Speakers’ Sessions are designed to help students acquire both knowledge and skills. We organize these sessions fortnightly and invite scholars from various top-notch universities, national and multi-national organizations of Pakistan. Among these, a great number of our alumni also visit as Guest Speakers and become the source of inspiration for our young.
