as teaching aids in the classroom.
Computer Laboratory
The 21-computer laboratory is based on the Open
Laboratory System - a teaching approach ensuring
each student has individual access to the computer
in a planned way.
During computer sessions, each class is divided
into two groups. The laboratory is networked
in a circle and designed specifically for twenty
students to give students maximum hands on exposure
with individual access to the computer.
The sessions encourage students to use computers
as a support tool to enhance their subject knowledge.
Students work on creative activities such performing
Internet-based research, accessing encyclopedias,
creating PowerPoint presentations and submitting
Microsoft Word-based assignments. Students also
design and produce flyers, banners and brochures
with desktop publishing software such as Microsoft
Publisher and Microsoft Banner.
Medical Services
A full-time registered nurse provides first
aid treatment, conducts health classes and maintains
students’ health records. The school doctor
conducts an annual intensive check-up for each
student once in two years. Parents are invited
to discuss their child’s heath and any
medical problems identified during the medical
check-up.
Health and Safety
The health and safety of students is a priority
for School management. Filtered water is made
available through the year, with the Aga Khan
University Hospital Laboratory conducting tests
six-monthly to ensure the water is safe for
drinking.
Science Laboratories
For students to clearly develop and
understand scientific theories, it is essential
to practically experience them. The School has
an adequately equipped science laboratory with
equipment, apparatus, chemicals and required
instruments for Biology, Physics and Chemistry
experiments.
Resources
Besides regular training facilities, teachers
are provided with additional resources to better
enhance their teaching skills and personal education.
The teachers’ resource room, equipped
with reference books, computers and required
material is available for easy access to advanced
information.
Canteen

of food and snacks for students and teachers
at reasonable prices. Food quality is closely
monitored by the school administration.
