Co-Curriculum Activities
The School recognizes the importance of a well-rounded education; therefore, the emphasis on holistic education extends beyond the classroom.
The School regularly provides students with opportunities to broaden their horizons through exchange programmes like the YES programme by iEARN which is a scholarship for 1 year studying in America with a host family.
Staff from the Aga Khan University’s School of Nursing and Medical College conducts sessions discussing health issues and related job opportunities for senior students. The School also organizes a series of seminars and awareness programmes on future trends in various professional fields. It helps students make informed decisions and explore various career options according to their potential. The school also provides opportunity to students to participate in any event organized by UNICEF or WHO United Nation.
Students are encouraged to enhance and pursue their interests in sport, art, aesthetics and music. Under a physical instructor’s supervision, students play games of interest and learn different techniques. Popular sports amongst boys are cricket, football and table tennis, with girls preferring throw ball, badminton and basketball. The PTI is an enthusiastic leader who encourages the students to participate in outdoor events as well as organizes events for the development of the students as a complete person.
The School has a play area, basketball court, sports room, volleyball, throw ball table tennis and badminton facilities.
The School art room, decorated with art prepared by students and teachers, is equipped with facilities for students to enhance their artistic capabilities. The Art teacher actively supported by subject teachers guide and prepare students for different musical, drama and display competitions and takes them for excursions to different ART Museums to broaden their understandings.
Students also actively participate in local and international essay writing competitions in different languages, quizzes, debates and science exhibitions spelling bee competition or Maths quiz organized by Educational organization, Institutes or AKU-IED department.
