Entry to the Aga Khan Mzizima
Secondary School is based on merit only, regardless
of background. It is also competitive.
'O' Level Admissions
Each April, candidates apply for the
100 places in Grade 8. All applicants must have
completed seven years of education up to Grade
7 at primary level. Shortlisted candidates must
successfully complete an English and Mathematics
entrance test and interview before being admitted.
Grade 9 and 10 admissions are possible in June, depending on availability.
Candidates
sit for a similar entrance test and interview.
Mid-Term entry
Students applying for entry mid-way through
the School
Calendar
will be admitted pending space availability,
but must still meet entry requirements stipulated
above.
'A' Level Admissions
Minimum entry for the 'A' Level Science
stream is B, B, B and B, C, C for the Arts option.
Shortlisted candidates who meet the academic
requirements are interviewed before the final
selection is made.
Admission for non-Tanzanian Students
Admission procedures are similar to
those for Tanzanian students, but foreign students
must complete the necessary immigration formalities
and provide confirmation to the school administration
before commencing studies.
Admission age (as at 1st June of the
academic year):
Grade 8: 13 years (12 years for exceptionally
bright students).
