AKMSS has 24 spacious classrooms, including a dedicated music room, and a geography/business studies room equipped with a state-of-the-art interactive whiteboard.

The Aga Khan Mzizima Secondary School facilitiesThe Aga Khan Mzizima Secondary School.Students at AKMSS have the benefit of access to 6 large, extremely well-equipped laboratories - 2 each for physics, chemistry and biology.  There are 3 laboratory technicians assigned to assist teachers prepare for practical lessons and to be on-hand to help students where necessary.  All students in Lower School and Upper School, assuming they are studying science, have at least one double period a week in the laboratories doing practical, experimental work.

AKMSS boasts a well-stocked library with up-to-date reference books and a large and popular collection of fiction.  Every year hundreds of new books are purchased to keep the reference materials current and to add to the choice of fiction books.  The library also subscribes to a range of periodicals such as The Economist, and National Geographic and to a number of daily newspapers.  Six computers connected to the internet are available in the library for any student who wishes to use them at break times as well as after school and for IB and ‘A’ level students to use during their free study periods.

There are 2 modern computer suites for whole class teaching.  In addition to being used to teach information communication technology, subject teachers can book the computer suites for their classes to work on projects using the computers.

An audio-visual suite is also available for classes to make presentations using a digital projector or for classes to watch videos relevant to their studies.

There are outside volleyball and basketball courts and the school hall is also equipped for badminton, table tennis and gymnastics.  Swimming lessons are conducted at an off-site swimming pool.
