The two-floor automated Library has approximately
28 000 books, 220 Audio tapes, 200 Video tapes,
110 CD ROMs, 20 DVDs and a number of periodicals.
The library has a sitting capacity of 70. Students
can access periodicals, newspapers, online resources,
CDROMs, audio tapes and videocassettes. The
library’s OPAC system allows staff and
students to efficiently search library materials
on computer. The library also has an Audio-Visual
room with Internet connectivity for research,
where lessons are held.
Besides lending services, the library conducts
outreach programmes (riddles, quiz competitions
and Read-on Marathons). An integral initiative,
these activities encourage students to use the
library frequently. The School library is a
member of the Tanzania National Library and
British Council Library Services. Students can
also access the Aga Khan Mzizima School library
for additional resources.
