Children drinking waterPlacement is decided on chronological age, as our experience shows children succeed best in such groupings. If parents feel their child would benefit from being placed out of their age group, the school will assess the child and talk to the child’s parents to determine the best outcome.  The school will make the final decision.

There is flexibility in academic levels within each year group to ensure appropriate differentiation for each child’s individual abilities and potential.

Teachers in the Lower School work closely with teachers in Class 3 of the Nursery School to ensure there is clear progression in the children’s learning from nursery to primary.  In the Upper School the teachers liaise with the staff at the secondary school, again to ensure that students are properly prepared for the next stage of their education.
