Future Planning Unit

AKES,T is pleased to announce the newly formed Futures Planning Unit (FPU). The mission of the FPU is to equip students and parents with the requisite knowledge and skills to explore options and opportunities for further and higher education and to make informed decisions to create and pursue fulfilling careers.

The FPU provides support for parents and students at all levels, from individual counselling on children’s end of year reports to presentations on applying for university entrance.

In the coming months the FPU will be offering the following programmes:

SAT Preparation Course. The first special SAT preparation course will be taking place in August 2009. This course is effectively designed and organized to help students in Forms 5/6 and IB1/IB2 prepare themselves to achieve their best scores on the SAT tests, giving them the edge for scholarship awards from top-rank US & Canadian universities.

What in the world can I do? Professionals from the community have been invited to speak to students about their careers and provide guidance, information and answer questions on their jobs and education they received.
