Mariam Sajjad receives the First Position Award from AKU-EB

On November 16th, AKES,P students received awards for winning top positions in the Aga Khan University Examinations (AKU-EB), joining a total of 172 high achievers from Pakistan in an award ceremony.

According to the AKU-EB press release, Ms. Ameena Saiyid, managing director Oxford University Press, Pakistan, told the students that quality education is "one of the most impactful ways through which social transformation in Pakistan can be guaranteed."

Among the award winners was first position holder, Mariam Sajjad from Aga Khan Higher Secondary School, Karimabad, Karachi. Mariam has made us proud by securing multiple awards. In addition to being the first position holder, she has secured the first position in the Pre-Medical subject group, as well as being a High Achiever in Biology, Physics and Urdu Compulsory. Previously, she has secured top position in the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) in 2015 as well as in the Science group, obtaining three subject awards.

Overall, Two students from Aga Khan Higher Secondary School in Karachi, emerged first and 2nd in Pakistan in the Aga Khan University Examination Board (AKU-EB) Higher Secondary School Certificate examination, while a student from the Aga Khan School in Garden, emerged third in the AKU-EB Secondary School Certificate examination.
