Admissions Process

The Aga Khan Early Learning Centre accepts children between one and four years of age. Parents are welcome to schedule tours of the Centre by contacting the Reception by phone or email, or by stopping by the Centre to arrange a visit and to meet with the Head of Nursery and Preschool.

To register, parents are requested to complete an Admissions form to begin the application and enrolment process. A set of documents are required to be submitted as listed on the Admission form. Once the forms are completed and submitted along with the fees, the child may begin their first day of nursery in their registered class.

AKELC is open for admissions all year round and parents are welcome to enrol their child. Should the class be full, we will place your child on a waiting list until a place becomes available on a first come, first serve basis.

Academic Year

The academic year has 3 terms with 3 holiday programmes incorporated, as follows:

Winter Holiday Programme
2 weeks in December
Spring Holiday Programme
1 or 2 week(s) at the end of March or beginning of April
Summer Holiday Programme
8 weeks in July and August

The Settling In Process

The settling in period is unique to each child; therefore we recommend that parents (or authorised persons) remain available during this time as the hours of stay for your child may be shortened in length to assist them in their settling in. The staff will work with parents and their child to help smooth this transition period. A parent orientation will also be held with the Head of Nursery and Preschool.
