The Sultan Mahomed Shah Aga Khan School, Karachi has recently installed three solar panels to help to produce electricity for the school, thanks to the generous support of alumni from the class of 1970. Many of the donations were made in memory of the loved ones of alumni. This new solar panel system will not only reduce the school’s dependency on the city’s electricity grid, but will also aid the Aga Khan Education Service (AKES), Pakistan in meeting its key environmental goal of reducing the carbon footprint of the Aga Khan Schools.
